Almyra occupies an excellent position close to the shops and attractions of Paphos town, with beautiful views over Paphos harbour and is only 20 minutes by car from Paphos airport. Refurbished in 2004 to the highest standard, the rooms reflect a contemporary Mediterranean style. The dazzling white architecture of the resort is beautifully set within eight acres of landscaped gardens. Families are central to Almyra’s philosophy, with outstanding service and facilities. It is a very child friendly hotel. For older guests there is a gym and floodlit tennis court, the sea sports centre offers scuba diving and waterskiing and there is golf at the nearby 18-hole course. Children can take part in the Smiling Dolphin’s Children’s Club. The resort has 3 restaurants and arranges early dinners for the benefit of young children. There are 2 freshwater swimming pools including a partially shaded children’s pool. The hotel is located on a rocky beach which is safe for supervised swimming. During the summer a lifeguard is in attendance.

A "Baby Go Lightly" form is sent out prior to arrival to enable families to travel more lightly. This enables parents of infants and toddlers to order many essentials in advance such as changing mats, buggies and organic food. In-room babysitting is available at a charge and must be pre-booked prior to arrival or on the day of arrival. Parents can monitor infants by pre-booking a baby monitor for a small fee using the "Baby Go Lightly" form. The Smiling Dolphin Kiddies Club is open from April to October for children aged between 4 and 12 years old. The club is complimentary and run by trained staff members. Open daily except Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm, the club has a playroom, swimming pool and an array of specially designed children’s activities.
