De Lank: Stacey is about to turn 10 and we have been going since the very first day they took over and she was a baby in arms. Everything is always scruplesly clean - I wish we could go more often! Rating 5 out of 5, Emma, Aug 2012

Honeysuckle: We would like to thank Fiona, Nick, Ted and everyone else at Coombe Mill for a wonderful week. The holiday completely lived up to our expectations - which were very high! Felix in particular loved every moment and since returning home has been asking to go back to the "holiday farm" and to see his favourite rabbit "Brownie". I'm sure we'll be back as I expect he and Sylvie will enjoy it even more when a little older and bigger. Rating 5 out of 5, Mat, recieved Aug 2012.

Trebah: Thank you once again for a wonderful holiday! It is so wonderfully relaxing, never disappoints! You feel the stresses melt away as you drive down into the valley! Dotty's piglets were a definite highlight and the rabbits as popular as ever, they were so gorgeous. The lovely weather was a great bonus. Trebah was lovely, and the girls love the play loft! 3rd year here and can't wait to return again next year - as Jess said, "but a year is SO LONG!" We'll be back again and again! Rating 5 out of 5, Nikki, Jun 2012

Watermill: Perfect...so much more than we expected! The welcoming nature of the hosts and the charming atmosphere is second to none. Cornwalls best kept secret! Thankyou Coombe Mill for the best holiday I have had in a long time. Rating 5 out of 5, Corinne, Jun 2012

Honeysuckle Cottage: Just been back to Coombe Mill for our third visit with our little boy, Jack. The piglets were definitely the highlight of the holiday this time! As an only child, it's great that he always makes friends with lots of children on the animal feed run each morning. Such a family orientated place to stay, we love it. My husband even booked himself in for surfing lessons at Polzeath Beach this year, recommended by the lovely Fiona! Coombe Mill definitely worth a visit if you have young children. Rating 5 out of 5, Hannah, May 2012.

Scandinavian Lodge: Excellent holiday at Coombe Mill this Easter with our three girls - equally as much fun on the farm and on the beach! Already booked next years! Rating 5 out of 5, Lulu, Apr 2012.

We returned from another lovely holiday at Coombe Mill, I am recommending this holiday as they made it such an enjoyable break for my family. Rating 5 out of 5, Andrew, Feb 2012.

Tamar Lodge: We had our best ever family holiday at Coombe Mill in Cornwall (so much better than Euro Disney!!). Every morning we put on our Wellies and joined Farmers Nick and Ted, jumping on to the tractor and doing the rounds to feed the chickens, donkeys, ducks, goats, pigs, bunnies and ponies. Both of the kids even had a drive of the tractor! Our daughter was a bit scared at the start of the week, but by a few days in she was really enjoying feeding all the animals. We're hoping to go back again next year! Rating 5 out of 5, Sarah, Sep 2011.

We had a lovely week at Coombe Mill and have already booked to return next summer. Our accommodation was beautifully clean and had everything we needed. Our two children loved the freedom of the farm and spent many happy hours in the playground and feeding the bunnies. The whole farm is organised to ensure your holiday is as relaxed and child-friendly as possible. Our younger daughter had been seriously ill earlier in the summer and it was lovely to see her improve her stamina and energy over the week. Our two children had a wonderful time and have returned home with a "healthy glow". Thanks to everyone at Coombe Mill! Rating 5 out of 5, Bond family, Aug 2011.

Deer: My parents started visiting Coombe Mill back in the 60's & 70's and took my brother and I many times when we were younger. My wife and I have just returned from taking our own children there for the 5th time and we had a brilliant week. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and are desperate to go back next year. Farmer Ted was brilliant on the feed runs! Rating 5 out of 5, Gemma, Aug 2011.

Ottery: A brilliant week! It was our first time at Coombe Mill and Harry and I both had an amazing time. We both made lots of friends and Harry absolutely loved Farmer Ted who let him ride his tractor with him!! We're very much looking forward to going back. Thank you for having us Coombe Mill! :) Rating 5 out of 5, Kelly, Aug 2011

Millers House: Thanks so much once again to Coombe Mill for a wonderful week. It might just have been my favourite holiday ever. I wish I was back there now! Rating 5 out of 5, Sarah, Jul 2011

Jordan: Have just got back from a lovely holiday at coombe mill, kids really enjoyed themselves. Beautiful setting, great fun with the animals and have booked to come again next year, thank you for making it a great holiday. Rating 5 out of 5, Rose, May 2011

Roots Cottage: We have returned from our first holiday at Coombe and are missing you already! We had a brilliant time, thanks so much. It was a perfect place for our 19 month old and he seems to have picked up loads of new words-tractor, farmer, alpaca, goat and river being the favourites! Joe fell in love with the alpacas and guinea fowl and we met some lovely people. Loved seeing the new piglets! We've already booked for next year and can't wait to return. Rating 5 out of 5, Stella, May 2011

Pencarrow: Another lovely holiday, our second year running and we've booked again for next year! Pencarrow is stunning, and the animals were as popular as ever! Can't wait to see Dotty's piglets and any fawns that arrive. I think the goats are our favourite, lovely to get to know all their different personalities - Jumper definitely has the most attitude!!!! Can't wait to come back! Rating 5 out of 5, Nikki, May 2011

Trebah: Had a wonderful holiday with Coombe Mill farm. Family run, the owners have children too who soon teamed up with ours. Our children are spread across 7 years but it was perfect for all of them. Such an easy holiday the week flew by. Now we are following all their news on their great facebook site which is sure to have us coming back for more! Rating 5 out of 5, Maria, Apr 2011

Eden: We had such a fabulous week, thank you so much Coombe. We met some lovely people, and can't wait to come back again next year. I'm just going through all my photos now, Coombe really is so beautiful, I just couldn't stop taking photos. Both Harry and Holly had such a fantastic time, made some great friends, and really didn't want to come home. Rating 5 out of 5, Claire, Apr 2011

Tamar: We had such a wonderful holiday: Fiona, Nick, Ted, Gill (and the children!!) all did a great job in making our stay at Coombe Mill one of our best ever holidays... we are lucky enough to have travelled extensively and can honestly say when we visited your recommended "Secret Beach" I thought it was one of the most beautiful places on earth! The farm was perfect... our two boys had such a wonderful time ..... a really great family holiday ... perfect. THANK YOU Fiona. We are looking at plans for next year and in the meantime, I have already recommended Coombe Mill to two friends ! Rating 5 out of 5, Russell, Apr 2011.

Riverside lodge (This was our first time at Coombe Mill - preferred the look of the bigger lodges for next time)
What an adventure, never though wellies and muddy fields was my sort of holiday but Coombe Mill manage to make it fun with all the comfort! Rating 5 out of 5, Stephanie, Mar 2011.

Water Mill!: Just had a week away in the newly refurbished Water Mill. Wow what a difference, we love the character and space before but did find it hard to keep heated and a bit dark and dingy. Now that it has 2 lovely windows in the ceiling, the mother of all modern wood burners and a stylish contemporary make over it is transformed. They have some great pics on their facebook site so you can see what we mean! Well done Coombe Mill another success! Rating 5 out of 5, Sarah, Mar 2011.

Honeysuckle: Just had to say what a huge success our holiday at Coombe Mill has been. With twins age 18months I was slightly dreading our first holiday but Nick and Fiona were super. We stayed in Honeysuckle cottage. There was plenty of space and even a toy den which the twins loved. Out on the farm rides Farmer Nick and Farmer Ted are so good with the children, it is a delight to watch them build their confidence with the animals and having such fun. A great holiday so well thought out. Rating 5 out of 5, Jessica, Feb 2011.

Great for kids whatever the weather. They loved the animals, the tractor feed run, indoor and outdoor play areas, freedom and space. Therefore very relaxing for parents! The owners are very welcoming and the Scandinavian lodges are lovely. Rating 5 out of 5, Sylvia, Jan 2011.

Willow Cottage: 'We got back a week ago from Coombe Mill, having spent a week there with our three year old, Jack. Couldn't have asked for a more child friendly holiday! Every day began with a tractor ride to feed all the animals (the donkeys were a big hit!) It was so nice to let Jack run around the farm on his own without having to worry about him. Fiona and Nick who own the estate were really friendly and helpful too, and their youngest children (triplets!) took him under their wing; they played with him and showed him around the farm. I couldn't recommend Coombe Mill more highly, we had a fantastic week there and will definitely be back soon! Rating 5 out of 5, Hannah, Jan 2011.

Eden (Scandanavian Lodge): I brought the kids to Coombe Mill and we had the best holiday yet, at this wonderful farm in Cornwall! I would never have thought a farm holiday could be so easy, the daily tractor rides with Farmer Nick and Farmer Ted are just the best. The kids had the time of their lives, it's just so different from home life. I always worry about a holiday on my own with the kids, but found it really easy at Coombe Mill. Thoroughly recommend this holiday to anyone with children. Rating 5 out of 5, Anna, Dec 2010

Two Chimneys Cottage: The kids were desperate for a farm holiday but I wanted sun and luxury. Coombe Mill wasn't luxury but it was perfect for the children and even the rainy days didn't seem to matter. They were so happy on the farm and with the animals I think we will be back again and my sunny holiday will have to go on the back burner! Rating 5 out of 5, Megan, Sep 2010.

Trebah: We have been going to Coombe Mill for years, what really sets it apart is the investment that the owners put in. Every time we go there is something new, a property, play area, always something which keeps it fresh whilst retaining the farm charm. This September we stayed in their new eco friendly lodge, Trebah! It keeps us returning year after year! Rating 5 out of 5, Chloe, Sep 2010.

Two Chimneys: Super family holiday, focused on families with kids. Lots of open space for kids to run around free. Not far from Bodmin (Bodmin Jail, Lanhydrock House) and lots of lovely wooded walks nearby. We did so much in our two weeks, but great place to relax as well - could easily spend all day on the farm. Rating 5 out of 5, Daisy, Sep 2010.

Eden, Scandanavian Lodge: We've been to Coombe Mill a couple of times on holiday. Husband spends the week by the fishing lake, while the kids spend it with the animals - couldn't be better for meeting everyone's needs! There is a Coombe Mill facebook page, so we follow what's happening with all the animals on there! Latest news is that they have a new shetland pony, which the boys are very excited to meet this summer! Lots of books, wellies, high chairs, games, fishing equipment etc to borrow in reception. Coombe Mill is a perfect holiday match for our family. Rating 5 out of 5, Julia, Aug 2010.

Honeysuckle Cottage: We took the grandparents away with us to Coombe Mill last October (half term) and stayed in Honeysuckle cottage. Lovely and spacious and with the grandparents having their own room and bathroom downstairs we were all very comfortable. Our children Milly and Isabelle had such fun on the farm and can't wait to return and see how their favourite rabbits are doing. Thank you Coombe Mill for making our week special. Rating 5 out of 5, Charlotte, Aug 2010.

We had a wonderful time with our two year old. We worried that they might be too young to enjoy a farm holiday, but it was spot on. We met loads of other like minded parents looking for a holiday that was a little bit educational but fun too. We stayed in one of the cheapest options which was great and we felt that at this stage it was all we needed, although if we had more children or older children we would want to go for one of their bigger properties. Rating 5 out of 5, Nicholas, Aug 2010.

Trebah: Coombe Mill is really set up for tots. Our property, Trebah had stair gates built in top and bottom as well as a great play room with train set to keep our lad entertained for hours. Outside is full of wonderful things for young minds from a real life play tractor to indoor soft play barn. We were worried it didn't have a pool but actually it didn't matter, our days were so busy on the farm we didn't have the time or energy to swim! Rating 5 out of 5, Katie, Jul 2010.

Old Mill: We had a lovely holiday at Coombe Mill. We came in June last year and took three children out for the week, thought about this long and hard but Coombe Mill have some great worksheets for school children so the school approved it. Not only did we save a fortune on school holiday prices, but the beaches were lovely and quiet and all the attractions. We were surprised to find other parents who had done the same as us and so our girls also had paly mates their age at the farm. It is a wonderful experience for children, a real family feel to the place and such a safe way to interface with the animals. We have booked again for this year. Rating 5 out of 5, Camilla, May 2010.

We have stayed in Honeysuckle and Eden. Properties are like home from home with all the modern appliances you would hope for and even stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs and a fenced in garden. Coombe Mill is so well thought out by the owners who clearly understand what is needed to make a relaxing family holiday. Rating 5 out of 5, Elizabeth, May 2010.

Gorgeous, tranquil setting in a lovely valley close to the North Cornwall coast. There is a wonderful range of different properties available to suit all tastes and budgets. The animals are great and the children (young and old) all enjoy learning how they are fed. The superb North Cornish beaches are only a few miles away and other local attractions are within a short driving distance. What a beautiful setting for a relaxed family holiday. Rating 5 out of 5, Fiona, May 2010.

Fantastic destination for families with children of all ages. Lots to do on the estate including great play facilities, and the chance to feed a whole range of farm animals every morning. It also offers easy access to wonderful beaches as well as places like the Eden Project. Would recommend. Rating 5 out of 5. Julie, May 2010.

I would like to highly recommend Coombe Mill as an excellent place to stay with young children. We took our grandchildren age 2, 4 and 7 and they had the time of their life. The farm is excellent and the tractor rides each day a delight. It is family run and our eldest teamed up with one of the owners children for the week which really made it for him. We are already booked to go back next year. Well done Coombe Mill you have something truly unique! Rating 5 out of 5, Gillian, Apr 2010

Took the family last October and we had a great time. The family were really welcoming the whole time and very helpful with suggestions of what to do. The kids had a great time on the farm, it was great for them to be able to play with the Camboroupolous children who lent them bikes and scooters galore! Think the highlight for the kids was feeding the animals! Very relaxing holiday, it was nice to be able to let the kids do their own thing and not worry about busy roads near by etc. Millers house was great too, very spacious and nice inside. Going back in July and cant wait - it was the perfect break away from work! Rating 5 out of 5, Maggie, Mar 2010.

We've been taking our boys on holiday to Coombe Mill over the last 8 years and it's definitely their favourite place to stay. The setting is lovely and we get as much out of it as the boys do -for them it's a place of animals, dens and adventure and they always make friends with the other children staying there as well as with Nick & Fiona's family. For us it's a beautiful part of Cornwall to use as a base and every holiday has been really relaxing and laid back. Rating 5 out of 5, Sam, Oct 2009.

Holiday Reviews from the Owners’ Facebook page

Our second holiday at Coombe and every bit as fantastic as the first. Our boys loved it and went on the feed run every morning. If only Dotty hadn't disappointed!!! Booked again for next year.

Just got back from another fantastic holiday at Coombe. Everything was perfect, and to see so many babies born in the week, including Dotty's gorgeous brood, what more could we have asked for. A special thanks to Farmer Nick and Farmer Ted, Harry was spoilt with so many turns at driving the tractor, it made his week and 1 year old Holly has become accomplished at imitating a sheep! Can't wait to come back next year!!!

We have been coming to Coombe for the last 10 years. We have never been disappointed rain or shine! Our kids are 3 and 9 and love the feed run every morning but we love the fact that we can go round the farm and see the animals at any time of day. We can't wait until this spetember when we will be visiting again!!! : - ) xxx

We had a great time at coombe Mill over Easter. Our 3 kids absolutley loved all the animals and went on the feed run with farmer nick every morning. Thanks for a great time and we'll see you again next year
