Northcote Manor Farm Cottages - 5 high quality, 2 or 3 bed self-catering holiday cottages set around the courtyard of an historic and beautiful North Devon farm. Set amidst 34 acres Northcote Manor Farm offers woods, streams, a pond and river to explore. In addition there are two public footpaths crossing the land which link up to provide some 18 miles of local walks for our guests. Our local public house, the Pyne Arms is just five minutes drive and the local shop/Post Office/garage is closer. The ancient town of Barnstaple is twenty minutes drive to provide all your shopping needs, with all major high street outlets and supermarkets, together with its famous Victorian pannier market, cinema and theatre, tennis and leisure centres. Situated as we are on the western fringe of Exmoor, the rocky cliffs and coves of the North Devon coast are only minutes away and we are an easy drive from the superb sandy beaches and surfers' waves of Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay.
All of our holiday cottages are equipped with everything you need for a few days or longer - washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and all the boring kitchen bits that you don't want to have to think about on holiday. The cottages are cosy and warm all year round and, with so much to do and see in this corner of Devon, Northcote Manor Farm is perfect for a break at any time. Each of our cottages has its own private garden with garden furniture and all have access to the courtyard and barbecues. Free Wi-Fi access.
The fully enclosable heated pool is open from April to November and is located in a 300 year old walled garden. A major attraction to swimmers is the 'Swimjet' enabling people to have a long swim in the same direction. A games barn offers table tennis, snooker and a children's toy corner, while a children's playground with swings, slide, Wendy House etc, is provided to keep our younger guests amused. The croquet and boule lawn with adjacent summerhouse and fun football pitch, complete the guests facilities which are all set in beautifully kept gardens. We welcome well behaved dogs for a small additional weekly charge. Baby equipment is available and babysitting can be arranged.
The self catering family holiday cottages available at Northcote Manor Farm is as follows:
Sunflower Cottage (sleeps 4 in 2 beds): In the sitting room there is an inglenook fireplace with woodburner, satellite television and video. There is also oil fired central heating and an enclosed south facing garden.
Rose Cottage (sleeps 4 in 2 beds): the second with double four-poster bed. This converted character barn is bright, airy and open-plan with satellite television and video plus 'living flame' cast iron stove in fire surround. There are fully controllable electric heaters in all rooms. Own garden area to rear with outside dining furniture.
Poppy Cottage (sleeps 6 in 3 beds): The former old granary now converted into an "upside down" self catering cottage with the living area and a gallery on the top floor to take advantage of the views. The lounge has satellite television and video, living flame effect fire in fire surround.
Daisy Cottage (sleeps 5 in 3 beds): Very much like Rose cottage, Daisy is also a converted barn but somewhat larger overall and with distinctive arched windows. With own garden area to rear with outside dining furniture, the cottage is open-plan in style and the sitting room has satellite television and video, 'living flame' effect stove in fire opening. Fully controllable electric central heating.
Bluebell Cottage (sleeps 4 in 2 beds): by way of a double four-poster bed and two bunk beds. A cosy, detached single-storey cottage which used to be the Coach House, Bluebell features include Cast iron 'living flame' stove, satellite television and video.
