These Somerset Self Catering Holiday Cottages are two light spacious renovated barns for self catering accommodation sleeping four and six. Located on a Farm on the outskirts of the village of Horsington in the beautiful Blackmore Vale, Somerset. Open since 1995 this family run rural retreat is surrounded by traditional meadow fields making for a safe, green and friendly environment with many species of birds, deer, badgers, hares and other wildlife.
The holiday cottages have been carefully restored retaining many of their original features and maximising the use of light so you can enjoy the simple, uncluttered and functional interiors. Relax in your own private south facing patios with lawn and views over farmland. There is level wheelchair access from the parking area adjacent to the properties. Wi-Fi is available in the games room, a short distance from the cottages.
Blue Cottage: sleeps up to 4 people (2 adults + 2 children). On the ground floor there is a lounge/diner with colour Freeview TV, video/DVD player, books and games. Fully equipped kitchen including a microwave & washing machine. A tumble dryer and freezer are available. There is a large double bedroom with king size bed on the ground floor & shower room with stairs leading to the first floor twin bedroom with a small balcony open to the main bedroom, Outside the lounge/diner there are patio windows leading to a private patio area with a small garden overlooking local fields.
Green Cottage: sleeps up to 6 people. On the ground floor there is a lounge with colour Freeview TV, video/DVD player, log burner and a selection of books and games. A kitchen/diner with microwave, dishwasher & washing machine. A tumble dryer and freezer are available. Also on the ground floor is a king size bedroom with access to the shower room. On the first floor there are 2 twin bedrooms and a second bathroom. Outside the Green Cottage has it's own private patio with pergola and a small garden enjoying views over local farmlands. |

This was a great cottage, the best we have ever rented. Ian (aged 10) loved the dogs and also his evening walk with Paul. Wonderful area and one week is not long enough to see everything.
How can we leave this lovely place? A week is this lovely cottage is too short; time has flown. We are already thinking about when we'll be able to come back here.
Once again an excellent holiday with the family gathering and birthday celebration making it even better. Young Adam, here for the first time, clearly enjoyed himself. Our fifth visit - we look forward to the sixth. Many thanks Penny & Paul. | |
