This luxurious Georgian cottage is situated in Aldeburgh on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. In the heart of the town yet sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the High Street. Beautifully furnished, the accommodation is on three floors and has a lovely secluded garden at the rear. This self catering coastal cottage is a 3 bedroom family home believed to date from 1750. The beach and sea are only about 100 metres away and Aldeburgh High Street is also close by with a good range of fashion, food, restaurants, and gift shops to choose from.
The house has been furnished to a high standard throughout with a great amount of thought and care being put into its design by the owners. The front door is reached via steps and opens straight into the sitting room, a light and comfortable area furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture. There is an open fire (gas fired) in the central fireplace.
Stairs lead down to the kitchen which is well equipped and includes dishwasher, electric oven, hob, extractor, aga, and has patio doors leading out into the pretty private garden which is laid to lawn with flower borders and has a table and chairs on a decked area in one corner perfect for enjoying meals 'al fresco'. Off the kitchen there is a dining room with table and chairs and a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble drier.
The house has 3 large bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is off the sitting room up two small steps. It has a 6' bed and views of the garden. There is an en-suite with shower,basin and w.c. Off the sitting room is a staircase leading up to bedrooms 2 and 3 (one double room and one twin) which share a second bathroom with a separate w.c. Both rooms are well furnished and are of a good size.
Please note due to steps the house is unlikely to be suitable for very young children. Parking is available nearby. |
