Blythburgh is a pretty, unspoilt village located three miles from Walberswick and just over four miles from Southwold. It is a small, quiet village with an historic public house serving good food, fine views of the estuary and the famous 13th Century church known as the Cathedral of the Marshes. There is also a village shop and post office. These Suffolk coast holiday cottages are ideally situated for bird watchers, families, cyclists and walkers with Dunwich Heath, the R.S.P.B. Reserve at Minsmere, Aldeburgh and Snape, all within ½-hour drive and many other areas of outstanding natural beauty all within easy driving distance.
Approached by an impressive driveway flanked by trees, these converted former stables buildings occupy a picturesque setting in the grounds of the Georgian Grade II listed Blyth View, once serving as a workhouse. Surrounded by open countryside, it makes a tranquil setting, yet still close to the Suffolk Heritage Coast. An immaculately kept indoor swimming pool, small gymnasium and games room can also be enjoyed by guests staying at the property so you can keep fit whilst still enjoying your holiday! Reviews from the other websites for blythburgh cottages

Lime Tree Cottage: Great place to stay at Christmas with Southwold and Halesworth only a short drive away . The cottage was clean and well presented and the modern decor gave it a nice comfortable feel. It was also a real treat to find the Christmas tree and the decorations in place when we arrived. Walking locally was problematic as there are no public footpaths accessible. Brian, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Dec 2015.
Meadow House: was perfect for our family and we would definitely book again. The house has everything we needed. It was immaculate and extremely comfortable. The swimming pool was a very popular bonus for us and my children made lots of use of it. The house was also very good value for money and I would certainly recommend it as a lovely place to stay near the coast in Suffolk. Justin, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Nov 2015.
Meadow House: A spacious, comfortable accommodation which was well equipped.Pool was a great bonus which was child friendly. Take your own table tennis bats. Michael, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Sep 2015.
Meadow House: The five of us had an excellent holiday. The location of the property was excellent with views of fields, cattle and sheep, and swallows in numbers on the wires getting ready to depart. It is a part of the country that we know and love. The house had all the appliances and equipment we could have wished and the glasses cabinet had us lost for words. We loved the terrace and the lack of traffic noise. Anne, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
Meadow House: We were a family of 8 adults and 1 toddler that stayed at Meadow House. It was very spacious with plenty of seating areas. The kitchen was very well equipped with top of the range appliances. We cooked most evenings and it was a real joy to use this kitchen plenty of crockery utensils etc. The bedrooms were well laid out and lovely the only complaint being that the quilts were far too heavy and bulky for the time of year and also the twin bedroom (which we were in) could do with better mattresses. The first couple nights we sat out on the patio with a beautiful sunset enjoying the wonderful views over the Blyth Valley. Having the use of a swimming pool/gym went down well with everyone and was well used it never seemed to be too busy. We would certainly use Meadow House again and would love to come back to Suffolk. Helen, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
Blythburgh View Stables: The Old Stables were ideally located just off the A12 giving great access to the local area. The swimming pool was lovely and warm and we all used it regularly. The girls loved it! Julie, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
Blythburgh View Stables: Lovely, well equipped cottage with the bonus of an indoor pool. Unfortunately we were not supplied with towels for every guest as we were led to believe. I phoned to try and rectify this, but received no reply. Other than that everything was perfect. Vicki, Rating 5 out of 5, Jul 2015.
Lime Tree Cottage: Lovely place to stay, well-equipped. Would be good to say that the cottage forms part of a mews developement on the information. Swimming pool water seemed to cause some skin problems and a shame the games room was not available. However, the weather was good, so we spent a lot of time out & about exploring the area. Isobel, Rating 4.5 out of 5, May 2015.
Meadow House: Excellent swimming pool and ideal location for access to seaside. Very comfortable for party of six with children having their own rooms. Michelle, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Apr 2015.
Meadow House: We loved the house. It was the perfect get away location for a long weekend away with friends. The kids loved the pool and our dog loved the freedom! There are some great pubs just a short walk across the fields. Sharon, Rating 5 out of 5, Mar 2015.
Blythburgh View Stables: Ideal location to visit Southwold, Minsmere etc (10 min drive). Not within walking distance to shops etc, car needed. Well equipped everything you need and more. Uncomfortable double bed, needed to use spare bedding for extra padding! Swimming pool very handy onsite, in use each time we used it but expected as school holidays and big enough to share for two families. The cottage was bigger than it looked on the photos, overall very nice. Lynn, Rating 4 out of 5, Feb 2015.
