A delightful two bedroom semi detached self catering holiday cottage, at one end of the owner’s longere - (longhouse). Le Teillais is set in a rural hamlet in tranquil countryside near the forest of Juigne, just 14kms from the historic walled town of Chateaubriant. It has recently been completely restored to an open plan design giving the cottage a bright and airy atmosphere. It is situated in the heart of peaceful countryside with wonderful walks and local activities. Whether you want to tour the Loire, walk the forest, or visit several vineyards, it is the ideal location for you. This well equipped and comfortably furnished cottage sleeps up to 4/6 non smokers. The spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is tastefully decorated and offers a warm welcome.
There is plenty of rural character in the cottage featuring exposed stone walls, oak beams and a wood burning stove, combined with the modern essentials of satellite television, DVD player, cd/radio, and electric radiators. The kitchen area is fully fitted and includes a gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, fondue and raclette sets, and crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Upstairs is the bathroom and two double bedrooms one with a double bed and a single bed and the other provides a double bed with an additional futon. The back door leads to a pretty terraced area with a wooden table and chairs, barbeque facilities, sun loungers and beyond to a well maintained garden. There is a pond in the garden, but it is securely fenced. The grounds consist of large grassed areas, well maintained flower beds, trees and a pretty pond which is securely fenced, all contributing to the perfect idyllic atmosphere for a relaxing holiday in the French countryside

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at La Teillais. The accomodation is exquisite and set in beautiful gardens in a lovely wooded setting only a few miles from the bustling (and very French) town of Chateaubriant.
