Saint-Lary is located in the Pyrenees the largest region in France. It is composed of 8 départements: Ariège, Aveyron, Gers, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Lot, Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne. Saint-Lary is located in Hautes-Pyrénées 80km south of the department capital Tarbes located next to the Le Néouvielle Nature Reserve and the Pyrenees National Park and is only a 30-minute drive to Spain. It is a spectacularly beautiful part of France and an excellent location for all year round activity holidays. Saint-Lary's facilities include skiing (with 90 kilometres of pistes), ice-skating, snowshoe hire, hiking, climbing, tennis, golf, a sports hall, paragliding, swimming, mountain biking, horse riding, water sports, angling, indoor thermal spa, museum and much more.

Saint-Lary is the perfect family holiday destination for both winter and summer activities. For summer sun it can't be beaten for climbing, biking, walking, hiking, sun bathing, swimming, a spot of shopping, or just taking in the sites of this magnificent terrain. But it is a dynamic winter sports destination and the skiing is tremendous. The domain has been excellently planned to suit the needs of skiers of different abilities. (This was a key issue in our decision to set up a skiing holiday base here). Skiing at St Lary spreads over a total area of 700ha. It is divided into three distinct areas, Saint-Lary 1700, 1900 and 2400. These areas interconnect and are linked by a variety of ski lifts. Navigation from one to the other is easy.
This large, newly renovated Traditional Alpine Style Ski Chalet offers superb accommodation in 3 apartments offering self catering modern facilities and tasteful decor. Because of the property's flexibility it can accommodate a family occupying just one apartment, or larger groups occupying up to all three apartments together. The ground floor and middle floor can be connected by an integrated staircase if wished, but all can have their own front door access if required.
Ground floor apartment: This spacious family apartment covers 70m2 and incorporates: 2 double bedrooms consisting of 1 double and 1 twin; Fully equipped open plan kitchen/diner; Lounge with pull out double sofa bed; Bathroom with shower; Separate wc and laundry facilities.
Middle floor apartment: This large, spacious family apartment is bigger than the other two and incorporates: 2 double bedrooms consisting of 1 double and 1 twin; Fully equipped kitchen including cooker, microwave and fridge freezer, and dishwasher; Large lounge/diner with pull out double sofa bed and real log fire; Dining table to seat 10 persons; TV and DVD in both lounge and twin room; Two sets of double patio doors onto the garden and patio area.
Second floor apartment: This light and airy apartment covers 70m2 and has wonderful views of the snow tipped mountains and incorporates: 2 double bedrooms consisting of 1 double and 1 twin; Fully equipped open plan kitchen/lounge/diner with pull out double sofa bed; Bathroom with shower and wc; Storage cupboard with laundry facilities
Each apartment also contains: Fully equipped kitchen including cooker, microwave and fridge freezer; Dining table to seat 6 persons (except middle floor that seats 10); Flat screen TV and DVD; Hi-Fi; Games compendium; Picnic set and rug; Electric Central heating; Linen/towels provided

Thanks we had a great time in a perfect location for some great mountain biking. The apartments were very comfortable and well kitted out with cooking utensils Glasses and equipment. No one had any bad thoughts  and we would use your place again if we are wanting to visit the area in the future. Rating 5 out of 5, Chris, received Sep 2013.
Middle apartment in Saint Lary was marvellous! It isn't at the very small centre of the Saint Lary Soulan but still it is in town and by only 5 minute walk to appreciate the people and the area. On the other side of the street you'll have the Bus stop (L'arrêt navette) that will take you to the town centre, to the "Téléferique" or "télé-chaises" and up you go the mountain. And after finishing your hard  and funny day on the snow you just take the télé-chaises (I recommend those because it is faster and near the property) and bus back home. Me and my friends we had some cocktails and beers on the apartment terrace by the end of the afternoon where you may have a wonderful view of Saint Lary and over the mountains. The apartment have it all!!! Log fire, linen, towels, toilet paper, cleaning products, radio with CD, TV, DVD's, an entrance through the garage – that way you don't have dirty all over the place with the snow boots and all - and a very charming atmosphere. Very important note, don't take the photos for granted. Why? Because you'll be surprise by the space that you've got, the place is actually bigger than the photos. During our stay we had the S. Valentine's Day, with a romantic dinner at "Pizza Pic" some drinks at "Le Kinito" pub where the fun is from the end of the afternoon until later supper. Before you leave, take some cheese for a nice "raclette" back home, some souvenirs and some handmade candies from "Coucaril" – perfect to have a hot chocolate after the hills :o)  We were made very welcome and felt reassured that help or assistance was just a call away. We would recommend Middle apartment (from Sandi) and fully intend to return to Saint Lary Soulan again, it would be our No.1 choice: 5* rate. Thank you so much for everything Sandi, you're a star!! We had a fabulous time, and with hindsight, wished we had booked longer in the Pyrenees. One week was definitely not enough, but we were lucky with the weather, thankfully. The apartment was lovely, nice and spacious and well equipped, the location is perfect, easy walking distance of the bakery and town, without being too close. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the apartment to others. It is very likely we will be back in Saint Lary in the next couple of years, maybe even next year, so you could be hearing from us in the near future. I would definitely give a ranking of 5 out of 5, Emma, Sept 2010.

My family and I stayed in July of 2010. Location = rated 5 out of 5, Inclusions = 4 out of 5, Quality = 4 out of 5, Service = 5 out of 5, Value for money = 4 out of 5. If I was to be asked would we return and would we recommend it to others the answer would be a definite yes.
