If you want a family holiday our 3 bedroom cosy country cottage provides comfortable accommodation for 6 / 7 people, surrounded by tireless views and acres of undeveloped farmland. 'La Bonne Vie' is an 18th Century, tastefully furnished, home from home, granite built self-catering gite / holiday let with exposed stonework and authentic twisted beams throughout, adjoining our family home. The kitchen is well equipped including a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. In the lounge there is a wood burning stove, TV and DVD player. A travel cot, highchair and push chair can be provided on request and WiFi access is available.

Outside there is a lovely garden with play equipment to keep the younger children happy including trampoline with safety netting, climbing frame, swings, two ponies, guinea pig, cat and chickens. In the summer months you and your family can enjoy our 4.5m x 1.2m deep above ground 'splash' pool, which is completely enclosed with the added protection of removable steps & a lockable gate. For the older children there is a giant Jenga set, basketball ring, dartboard, small pool table and boules. For the adults there is a BBQ and plenty of seating. On arrival a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, freshly laid eggs and a bottle of local cider will await you.

Very informal, family-friendly and spacious setting where children – and adults - could relax and be themselves. Jo and Simon were a friendly and helpful yet discreet presence and their children were pleasant and accommodating, happy to share the pool, climbing frame and other toys. Extras like the games room meant there was somewhere we could play after dark or in bad weather. Within easy reach of the ferry ports, to the beaches on the north and south coasts and some very pleasant towns nearby. We enjoyed our holiday greatly. Rating 4 out of 5, Megan, Oct 2009.
