A warm welcome awaits you at this holiday accommodation located in the picturesque village of Gibourne which is set in the heart of Charente Maritime in the southwest region of France. We are a family run business who have developed the 17th French century farm house and attached barns into four individual holiday cottages or gites that are available from May to October. Our aim is to ensure that you and your whole family have a relaxing, enjoyable and memorable stay. Onsite there are two heated pools which are enclosed by a self-locking gate; an acre of lawned garden overlooking the fields which is equipped with a range of children’s play equipment including swings, slides and a Wendy House.  We also have full size table tennis; archery; free WIFI access, free satellite TV (UK) to all gites; an arrival/evening meal service and also free access to our new fitness suite/gym.

Each Gite benefits from a dishwasher, washing machine, (UK) Satellite TV, Video Player, and your own BBQ.  All four holiday cottages have been beautifully restored to an exceptionally high standard while maintaining the traditional French style. At the rear of each gite, French doors open from the living room and lead onto a private patio area, complete with tables, chairs and loungers - all overlooking the pool area. The accommodation available is as follows:

The Cottage (Sleeps 4): The ground floor of this 200 year old house is open plan, with exposed beams and stone walls. The massive fire place has been carefully restored. The lounge area has a sofa and chairs facing a TV (with UK Satellite TV) and video with a selection of films. The fitted kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. (The washing machine is located in the bathroom). On the first floor are 2 bedrooms, a double with views over the pool area and a twin bedded room overlooking the courtyard. Across the landing from both bedrooms is a modern bathroom.

Logis (Sleeps 10): Entering from the courtyard into the fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, 2 fridges and microwave. The large dining table seats 10 guests. Archway to the lounge with beamed cathedral ceiling, stone fireplace with log burner, TV (with UK Satellite TV) and video and plenty of room to relax. On the ground floor there is a family bedroom with a double bed, set of bunk beds and fitted wardrobe. Across the corridor is a second bedroom with two single beds. Between these 2 bedrooms is the bathroom. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, both of which have a double beds, and each has an en-suite shower room with shower, sink and toilet.

Charrue (Sleeps 5): Entering from the courtyard into a modern fitted kitchen/diner with gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and microwave. Archway to the comfortably furnished lounge with TV (with UK Satellite TV) and video and a log burner. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one with a single bed, wardrobe, and bedside table. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds, also with a wardrobe and bedside table. Adjacent to both is a toilet and vanity sink. On the first floor is the master bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Across the landing is the bathroom with bath, large vanity sink and toilet.

La Grange (Sleeps 9): Entering from the courtyard into the fully fitted kitchen diner with gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge:freezer. The dining table comfortably seats 10 guests. Archway to the lounge with beamed ceiling, exposed stone wall. TV (with UK Satellite TV) and video and plenty of room to relax. Access from the lounge to inner hallway leading to the ground floor bedrooms. One bedroom with 2 single beds, the second has a double with a single bunk bed over. Both of these bedrooms are adjacent to the shower room with toilet, sink and shower. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom with toilet, large vanity sink and bath. The second bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room with toilet, large vanity sink and shower.

The Gites are set in a beautiful, tranquil, secluded setting and are extremely comfortable,well equipped accomodation. We were a party of six including 2x 4 year olds, who all loved every minute of it, particularly the very safe pool area. The Keys Family made us very welcome and gave us many helpful tips and guidance as to where to go, what was on etc a lot of which we didn't find time to do due to the length of our stay and also the place was so nice to just handg around in with plenty to do. Apart from the pool,the other activities availble included some lovely walks, blackberry picking, watching the sunflower harvest and even archery lessons! We would highly reccommend this place to anyone with a family of any age group but particularly smaller children and we will definitely try and get back there sometime.
