- Rugged and majestic landscapes steeped in history, lochs and mountain rivers, soaring sea cliffs and sandy beaches, small seaside towns and a lively city – enjoy them all when you stay at our holiday lodges in Angus. Often overlooked by the main tourist ‘beats', but within easy reach of our holiday lodges in Angus, the scenic coastline is a birdwatchers' paradise, offering opportunities for delightful rambles with plenty of sandy beaches to explore, whilst the Angus Glens promise superb hill walking and breathtakingly lovely views. The truly energetic might like to ‘bag' some of the Glens' ten Munros. Meanwhile, keen golfers will be heading for Carnoustie.
- Lodge holidays in Angus would be incomplete without a visit to Dundee, a lively, cosmopolitan city with a thriving arts scene and proud maritime heritage. At the city's Discovery Point, you'll find the three masted wooden ship captained by Scott when he made his Antarctic Expedition in 1901, and the whole family will enjoy a great day out at the Sensation Science Centre. Be sure to visit Glamis Castle – childhood home of the late Queen Mother – and the House of Dun at Montrose, and Arbroath, home of the famous ‘smokies' and some fine abbey ruins, is also well worth a trip.

- Accomodation is fantastic brilliant hot tub and sauna in the executive lodges. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. The resort is good with different activities for all ages. It is expensive but as a family with young kids its ideal for us. Would recommend! Vicki, Rating 5 out of 5, Nov 2015.
- We stayed in an Osprey Plus, after staying several times in Piperdam this was the most disappointing lodge we have had. Carpets and walls were dirty, kick plates in kitchen broken, fridge shelves broken, hot tub light broken and the filter was attached by two rusty nails that kept coming off leaving the filter cover floating in the hot tub. Master bedroom bed was uncomfy, pillows were lumpy, poor shower. Management need to have a look at the older lodges as they are very tired and rundown, before building anymore they should sort the ones that are there. We love the restaraunt, pool and go active facilities and he scenery is lovely, just a shame the lodge wasn't up to standard. Claire, Rating 4 out of 5, Oct 2015.
- First Class, excellent lodges in the perfect location loved the hot tub and sauna plenty to do although some of the activities can work out expensive if you are travelling as a family but you are not far from Dundee where there is plenty to do, went rifle shooting and pool canoeing on site the kids loved it very well run excellent instructor. The restaurant on site is first class and you can choose to be formal or casual with no compromise on standard of service or food after our first meal there the first evening didn't feel the need to go anywhere else as the was plenty of variety. Will definitely be back. Sylvia, Rating 5 out of 5, Oct 2015.
- Stayed in the Vegas lodge and great holiday had by all, however communication could have been made a lot easier had wifi been available in the lodge. At the price we paid for the lodge, I feel that should have been included. All electricity was included other than what was used in the sauna....we used around £8 for the full week.... again, at the amount we paid, this should have been included. Even if it was a £15 electricity card, that should have more than covered it. Final point, I couldn't get the hair dryer to work at swimming pool and no members of staff were free for me to ask. I stood at reception for a minutes, but all staff on the phone. Overall, great holiday though!! Connie, Rating 4 out of 5, Sep 2015.
- Was a great place for our 1st family holiday with our 8 month old daughter. She loved the swimming we were in the pool everyday. Food lovely and lodges amazing with our private hot tub. Yvonne, Rating 5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
- Weekend break. We had a Vegas lodge which was fantastic. Entry to the lodge is 4pm, this would be better if changed to 2pm/3pm as you are required to leave the lodge by 10am. Staff helpful. We ate out 2 evenings and the meals/service were very good. We were there for a wedding so didn't use any of the facilities on offer. Trees need to be cut back as pine needles everywhere, on the veranda and in the hot tub although the hot tub is cleaned on a daily basis. No wifi and no mobile phone signal - BLISS! Eleanor, Rating 5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
- A real get away from it all place. The lodge was absolutely spotless and felt I could relax from the moment I got there. Reception provided details of activities should people choose to partake. Quad biking is a must. You are taken above the resort and the views across the Tay are stunning. Only minor issue I had was the poor mobile reception at Piperdam which obviously they can do nothing about. Hence the reason I could not give it 10 out of 10 for facilities and overall. Naomi, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Jul 2015.
- This was our third visit as we love visiting Piperdam. We stayed in Muirloch 8. Previously we have stayed in Muirlochs 11 & 14. We preferred no.11 as there are no trees surrounding the Hot Tub area, therefore less flies. Already considering visiting again in a few months. Would highly recommend! Quad Bikes are a must! Katherine, Rating 5 out of 5, Jul 2015.
- We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at piper Dam and would recommend it to anyone who wants to use it as a base for exploring Perthshire or just for a relaxing spa holiday. The mobile phone coverage wasn't the best - but some people would say that it adds to the relaxing atmosphere not being pestered by a phone all day! The hospitality at the restaurant and bar is top class and the staff coped admirably with our varied and sometimes complex requirements! Michael, Rating 5 out of 5, Jun 2015.
- Fantastic holiday at Piperdam will certainly be going back for another break. The scenery was beautiful and very peaceful to look at, the activities available had a great choice to choose from, and the food was excellent in the venue itself. The swimming pool was lovely and the Gym had a great range of equiment to use. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful when required assistance. Dundee is a short drive away, and there is a local shop just along the road for essentials, we overall were delighted with our first time at Piperdam and cant wait to go back. Helen, Rating 5 out of 5, Jun 2015.
- The resort is lovely and in a tranquil, beautiful setting - both the bar and restaurant were welcoming and the staff were friendly and approachable. The takeaway from Howie's Curry Club was delicious and the meal in Room with a View was superb. This time we didn't try out any of the activities or leisure facilities but have earmarked some for our next visit. Shirley, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Mar 2015.
- We were very pleased with our lodge. Furnished to a high standard and very clean throughout. The onsite restaurant was very nice and good menu. Swimming pool and changing areas very clean. Slightly disappointed with the lack of wifi access within the lodges. We didn't think this was made clear enough through booking process. Not sure we would have booked if we had know this as my husband needed to be in contact with work throughout his stay and therefore had to go to the expense of purchasing a router to use within our lodge. If wifi was accessible throughout the lodge park then we would have graded the facilities higher. Caroline, Rating 4 out of 5, Mar 2015.
- Lodge was lovely but lacking in some basics. For example dish drainer. Oven was a bit temperamental. Hot tub and everything else was great. Bar/pool/surroundings was lovely and very relaxing. Jacqueline, Rating 4 out of 5, Nov 2015.
- We have been 5 times now and will be back again, cabins are amazing and only short drive to Dundee centre, can't fault it at all. Tracey, 5 out of 5, Nov 2015.
- This was our second visit at Piperdam and we could not rate it highly enough, its so relaxing and the staff are extremely helpful in any way they can be. Although on this occasion we did not use the Go Active facilities as some of them can be quite expensive but they are so fun to use. The Room with a view Restaurant is a lovely place to have a beautiful meal, which we do each time we visit, although we do go into Dundee which is not too far a drive away for an alternative meal. However we do make use of the swimming pool, steam room and gym each day, which is included in your overall price. Each evening we go down to Howie's Bar which is on the site for a cheeky wee cocktail, before we head up for a dip in the Hot tub to wind down once again, brilliant. Helen, Rating 5 out of 5, Oct 2015.
- Great holiday, only complaints would be that the lodge did not contain cleaning products (sponge, cloth, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets) and we were not advised of this in advance so had to make two trips to a supermarket to get what we needed and the pillows were very thick and uncomfortable. Kathryn, Rating 4 out of 5, Oct 2015.
- This is the third time we have stayed at Piperdam and yet again we had a fab time. The lodges are amazing, spacious and very clean. The only slight negative issue that we had was the lodge was too hot and there was no thermostat that I could find to adjust it. Asked at reception for maintenance to go and adjust the boiler and although this was done, I still found it warm. The food at the bar and restaurant is delicious, excellent value for money. Sharon, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Oct 2015.
- Excellent break in Piperdam, so much so we have re-booked for March 16. Great facilities and the golf course got a good review from our boys. The only points I would raise are that should you be staying in the lodge you really do need to consider what you need for the trip - i.e. toilet roll, tin foil, dish washer tablets, dish cloths - basically everything. The kitchen is well equiped with crockery etc. We booked the Vegas Lodge - we are a large, noisy party. I was surprised how close together the lodges are, especially having the larger lodges next to the small, where you would expect much quieter guests. Kimberley, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Sep 2015.
- Great holiday 2nd year there lodge this time was great plenty space for everyone and the sauna is fantastic only down side is WiFi or lack of it unless you are in the club. Overall great stress free holiday. Helen, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Sep 2015.
- Lodge was spacious bedroom and bed especially fantastic and steam room a great add on. The lodge could benefit from a little updating due to general wear and tear and recliners didn't work. Hot tub was brilliant, great staff and facilities. Would definitely stay again. Geoffrey, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Sep 2015.
- Great holiday with my family nice and quite surrounding. The lodge was fantastic clean and home from home. The service at the golf was very helpful. Also great place to go walks. The only thing that was missing is a small shop which you are probably aware of. Overall will be booking up for 2016. Stephen, Rating 4 out of 5, Sep 2015.
- We stayed in an executive lodge and it was fabulous, very high standards and spotless, lovely relaxing break and would definitely book again. If you want to see sights will need a car but lovely place. Only downside is no fishing on site, we were going to be sold a ticket for their loch but my husband checked the water out and felt he couldn't fish from the bank and would need a boat but this wasn't highlighted. Rhona, Rating 5 out of 5, Sep 2015.
- Wonderful lodge stunning location lovely staff. Activities were well ran and good value. We had a fantastic time with some fabulous memories made. Thank you. Rachel, Rating 5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
- Lodges beautiful, a little expensive. The check in and check out times need looked at as I felt we did not get enough time in them. Would defiantly stay again, location great, facilities great and we had a relaxing stay. Diana, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
- It is a great place to meet up with friends and family. Lodges are quite private and spacious. Club house close by and makesgood coffee and scones! Staff very helpful and friendly. Disappointed that golfing range no longer existed. Found activities very expensive especially with 8 children. Children did enjoy playing tennis ,golf and swimming. Would have participated in more activities like archery if less expensive! Rating 4 out of 5, Aug 2015.
- Brilliant large well equipped clean Forester lodge with great sauna and hot tub facility. The restaurant service and meals were brilliant with fantastic choice really well presented by friendly very well mannered staff. Lovely leisure facility pool and changing rooms well maintained and the big boost a golf course on site for dad to spend a few hours while the ladies go shopping! All and all a great place to relax and take a break my only criticism is that it would have been nice to have some evening entertainment in the lounge bar area. Colin, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Aug 2015.
- What a relaxing holiday! Lovely quite holiday, we stayed in the rainbow executive lodge, it had everything you could possibly want for a self catering holiday. The kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub and sauna was an added bonus. The swimming pool was great, you could use it as often as u wanted and it was open to 9 durning the week. We did the activities as well, Susan and the team were great, we did the shooting range, archery and the quads allow expensive it was well worth it! We enjoyed our stay and will be back in the future. Rhonda, Rating 5 out of 5, Jul 2015.
- Amazing 3 nights away, so relaxing! No shop on site for anything you might have forgot and the deposit you pay on arrival you don't get back for 3 days! Apart from that we had the best time ever and would definitely recommend! We had a meal in the restaurant which was perfect! Janet, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Jul 2015.
- Stayed in the Rainbow Executive, excellent lodge, plenty of space, clean. Television/DVD player is of very poor quality. Hot tub was lovely. Used the swimming pool every day with our daughter which was brilliant. Had dinner one night and lunch, both meals we couldn't fault, friendly staff. I'm sure we'll be back again. Diane, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Jun 2015.
- A good place to relax and unwind. Shopping? Why Dundee city centre is on your doorstep 8 miles away. The facilities on the camp are good if abit expensive. Same goes for eating on the camp, but again Dundee is only 10 minutes away. John, Rating 4 out of 5, Jun 2015.
- We had a lovely week the only downside being that my eldest son cut his foot on the sole whilst swimming in your pool. He caught it on the side whilst pushing off and it was investigated by the Operations Manager and has been addressed. The boys took part in fencing and air rifle shooting and enjoyed both. The lodge we stayed in was lovely and we would go back again. Claire, Rating 4.5 out of 5, May 2015.
- Overall the holiday and facilities were very good. However total lack of wifi in our Vages villa was very inconvenient. Is this possible to change without an exorbitant daily cost? This was compounded by poor mobile reception. There should be a land line connection to reception as it would make enquiries for booking meals, activities etc much simpler but more importantly in case of an emergency. Suggestions for improvements considering the overall cost. Supply the basics in kitchen such as washing up liquid, washing up brush, scourer, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, spare toilet rolls. We had to go and buy these and left what we had bought. Maureen, Rating 4.5 out of 5, May 2015.
- We stayed at Piperdam in the Vegas Lodge and the lodge had everything you needed well equipped for a party of 12. All rooms had en suit and really nicely decorated, Jacouzi and sauna amazing. We had the children with us and they loved the open space of the lodge plenty room to run around. We will definitely be back at some point. Sheryl, Rating 4 out of 5, May 2015.
- We have stayed at Piperdam previously and always enjoy our visits there. We booked an Eagle Executive this time to celebrate a special birthday and to get all the family together. We had a super time all under one roof and with all bedrooms having en-suite we never felt overcrowded. The children enjoyed golf on the 9 hole course and the tennis while the adults relaxed and enjoyed the facilities. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and as usual the service was fantastic. All in all we had a great time and am sure we will visit again. Isobel, Rating 4 out of 5, May 2015.
- The lodge was of a high standard and had a spacious feel. Utilities were good and beds comfortable. Tried the archery and crossbow lessons which were great fun with a lovely instructor. Only let down was the view from the lodge, otherwise would have been full marks across the board. Sarah, Rating 4 out of 5, May 2015.
- Had an excellent holiday, lodges were nicely decorated and very clean and in good condition. I felt the additional activities were a little pricey on top of what you are paying to stay there, especially for a family, could maybe of had a family rate, we could only book a couple of activities. Audrey, Rating 5 out of 5, Apr 2015.
- We had a lovely time and will certainly go back. One thing that would be helpful would be coat hooks in the hall or the back of bedroom doors as the coats were left everywhere as there was nowhere to hang them. New swimming pool facilities were great, particularly the large family changing rooms. A better hi-dry to hang washing would have been a bonus as we could only wash a tiny amount at a time. Karen, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Apr 2015.
- Three-bed Osprey lodge was perfect for two grandparents and four children. Well equipped and any niggles were put right quickly. Did not use any of the activities but they seemed to be well attended. A great base. Billy, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Apr 2015.
- Great holiday, great place to stay and for the first time we used the restaurant and found the staff extremely helpful, good food and wine and a great price for it too. We have been quite a few times and would definately recommend it to anyone. Did not use the GoActive programme this time so ignore review section for that, cant judge what I dont know about. If you have never been - GO! Donald, Rating 4.5 out of 5, Feb 2015.
- The pool was great with the changing area upgraded since our last visit. A big improvement. The meal in the restaurant was excellent and the staff in the restaurant and bar were lovely. The surrounding area is beautiful. The kids loved the play park and feeding the ducks. Amanda, Rating 5 out of 5, Feb 2015.
- Had a truly fantastic weekend away. Totally relaxing & Hot Tub was amazing! Stayed in the Muirloch Lodge & it had everything we required for the weekend (even an iron & itoning board) well equipped lodge …… massive comfy bed …… could've been busier if that's what we had been looking for but we were happy staying in & using lodge faculties, although we did use the restaurant & bar which were lovely … staff very friendly & lodge was spotless. Lyndsay, Rating 5 out of 5, Feb 2015.
- My seventh visit to piperdam. Stayed in Muirloch executive 15 - absolutely gorgeous. Lovely cosy luxury lodge nestled into the woodland. Fabulous hot tub which was very clean and hot at 40 degrees - perfect. Food and service in bar and restaurant excellent as always. Jennifer, Rating 5 out of 5, Jan 2015.
- Relaxing and luxurious break, perfect if you just want to time away together. The larger lodges also looked great for breaks with family or friends. Lovely setting and location surrounded by hills yet only 15minutes out of Dundee.
- Our Exec. Lodge far exceeded our expectations, not only in it's up-keep but in the beautiful high ceilings, huge bathroom and generous kitchen area. There's plenty to do, even if golfing isn't your cup of 'tee' (get it?) from Camperdown Wildlife Park (the most awesome bears ever...but beware of the Peacocks that are free to roam about!) to the Cineworld that's less than 5 mins drive away. You're also no more than a 20 min drive from Dundee Centre where there are plenty shops for you to spend your hard earned cash on. Even the Go Active activities are great value for money from Disc Golf (fancy name for target Frisbee) to Archery and Quad Biking. Highly recommended!
- The accommodation was luxurious and was more than a 'home from home'. The surrounding woodland was idyllic and tranquil. The staff were so helpful and the food was delicious. We will be returning to Piperdam very soon
- We have already recommended the holiday to family & friends as it was very relaxing, enjoyable with plenty to do & you had your own privacy with superb accommodation.
