Horselea Holiday Cottages has two luxury 4 Star self catering cottages on a working farm, 7 miles south of Perth in the heart of Scotland. The Granary sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and The Stables sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and both have been recently converted from our steading buildings. The holiday cottages are an idealic country retreat where guests can enjoy the delights of the beautiful surrounding farmland, stunning views of the Ochil and Sidlaw hills, and the Strathearn Valley. The farm is just a short walk from the local village with a Post Office and shop. The larger village of Bridge of Earn is just 5 mins drive away with pubs, restaurant, farm shop and a park for the children. Perth is a 10 min drive away and offers a range of activities including swimming, walking, shopping and award winning restaurants.
Our self-catering cottages offer you the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful relaxing holiday, or for the more active, cycling or walking the Core Path Network or golf at our local courses . At Horselea we offer you the opportunity to bring your horse on holiday and explore the area on horseback, use the facilities at the neighbouring livery yard, or graze at Horselea.
Scone Place, (10 miles) where the Kings of Scotland were crowned, provides an enjoyable day out for the family allowing you to explore the grounds, visit the Palace, or enjoy a meal in the tea room. Golfers can enjoy a round at our local courses, or visit Gleneagles (10miles) or St. Andrews, the home of golf, (40miles). Alternatively, you may like to day trip to Edinburgh and Stirling with their Castles, Glasgow with its shopping and historic building, Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee are all places of special interest.

The Stables (sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms)
Ground floor

Upper floor
- Large Lounge with French doors allowing stunning view to the North, including historic Kinnoull Hill in Perth, TV, dvd,
- Double room, with comfortable bed and beautiful views to wake up to
- Bathroom with shower over bath
- For the larger party we have a comfortable sofa bed in our lounge.
The Granary (sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms)
Ground floor
- Large kitchen/diner fully equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi
- Twin room with comfortable beds
- Double room with large storage area
- Shower room with easy access shower
Upper floor
- Large open plan lounge with stunning views of the surrounding farmland, TV, DVD,
- Bathroom with shower over bath
- Large Family bedroom with king size bed and a day bed for the larger party
Both family friendly holiday cottages are fully equipped and come complete with linen. A cot and a child bed can be hired if required. Our cottages have underfloor heating throughout which is supplied by a renewable energy system utilizing the heat from the ground and conversion by a heat exchange pump giving lots of hot water and a comfortable temperature. Eco-friendly toiletries & cleaning materials are also provided.
If required for children we have the following available: stair gates top and bottom, high chairs, travel cots, child size cutlery, children's crockery, step for the toilet and potty, games, books, DVDs. We also had solid floors throughout making it easier to keep clean after the children. Our outside area has a secure fence so little children can play without escaping, and a large grass area (also fenced) to run around in, play games etc. (a supply of bats, balls, swing ball etc. is available), |
