Luxurious home from home. Lindores House is located in the beautiful coastal retreat of Alnmouth in Northumberland. Just two minutes walk to the fabulous unspoiled beaches and estuary. Alnmouth is quiet and peaceful with an extremely family friendly village atmosphere.

Completely refurbished to a luxurious standard, the house is both cosy and hugely comfortable meeting all your holiday relaxation needs. The sitting room has two large leather sofas and one large cream sofa and the adjoining dining room has a handcrafted oak table to seat ten with leather chairs in situ. There is a large toy box for children of all ages and a games cupboard, along with children’s DVDs. Double doors link the two rooms so you can open up the entire downstairs relaxation/play space. Wood floors run throughout the dining room and kitchen into a spacious utility room so there is no worry about mopping up food! There is a washer/dryer, microwave and extra fridge in the utility. The downstairs WC is a huge bonus especially for little ones dashing in from the beach!

The house benefits from its large indoor space, perfect for families to holiday together in luxurious comfort! There is a BBQ and outdoor seating for summer al fresco dining. With 5 double bedrooms - 2 of which can be arranged with twin beds, and 4 bathrooms, you have plenty of room for everyone! The house is very child friendly and equipped with most things you may need such as monitor, steriliser, 2 travel cots, baby bouncer, baby bath and change mat, bottle warmer, stair gate, toddler steps for sinks and plug sockets (downstairs). We aim to make your stay a very enjoyable one, so don't hesitate to ask us to help!

There is a local village store with all provisions you need and a Post Office that stocks lots of children’s toys and games for the beach and indoors if it is a wet day. There is some superb local fayre at the local eateries which are all child friendly. During the summer enjoy the famous Alnmouth Raft Race in August - a must to see! If you fancy a day out, 5 minutes in the car and you reach the Market Town of Alnwick where Harry Potter scenes were filmed at the Alnwick Castle. Alongside it, there are the famous Alnwick Gardens to explore and maybe even take afternoon tea at the Treehouse! With plenty of shops and restaurants as well as a thriving local Farmers Market, you are spoiled for choice. There is also an indoor soft play centre, The Lions Den for wet days, and another close by in Amble – Castle Mania. Further afield you can visit places such as Bamburgh for a wonderful walk and feast on local kippers and salmon in Craster.
