A truly unique and unrivalled location, this beautiful Scottish land of mountains, lochs and islands can be experienced from the comfort of one of our luxury self catering holiday cottages situated close to or on the banks of Loch Feochan, Scotland, with sea views, or our town apartment which is located in Oban with stunning views over Oban Bay to Kerrera and Mull behind. All of our holiday cottages are very high 4 star Scottish accommodation.
The cottages are situated in the peace and calm of Lerags Glen only three miles from Oban, "Gateway to the Isles" in Argyll, Scotland. You have a truly great choice of accommodation from a cosy, peaceful cottage, a large holiday house suitable for house parties or family gatherings, and even your own highland croft, all with a great view and set in a haven of tranquility, guaranteed to revitalise the most world-weary guest. Only a short walk up the glen, a Country Pub can be found serving fine home-cooked food and ales.

Tigh Beg Croft holiday cottage (3 bedrooms, sleeps 6) has to be one of the ultimate secluded Highland hideaways - there are no garden fences, only the open land and the sea to keep you in and amused. This classic 'get away from it all' location is set in some fifty acres of informal hill land and shore line giving you some spectacular walking country. The luxury cottage's lounge has a log burning fire & large flat screen TV & CD player, ipod music system dock. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and large fridge & freezer plus there is a washing machiine with dryer in the entrance porch. There is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom with shower over the bath on the ground floor and in the upper loft bedroom there is a twin or zip & link king double bed. Electric night storage heaters. Sorry no pets and no smoking allowed at Tigh Beg Croft. Isolated yet located just 6 miles from Oban.
Pitsruan Holiday Cottage (4 bedrooms, sleeps 10) A spacious and secluded holiday cottage set within private grounds in picturesque Lerags Glen at the head of Loch Feochan, Pitstruan is an exceptional holiday retreat. Nestling by the waters edge, and with sea loch views, Pitstruan is attractively decorated throughout. So just relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the views and wildlife on the loch looking over to Ardoran Marine and surrounding Scottish hills.
There is a bathroom, 2 king double bedrooms and single en-suite on the ground floor, 1 king double en-suite, a king double and a triple bedroom on the first floor. There is a spacious lounge with log fire, TV, CD player & video, plus a dining room with French patio doors leading to the verandah with stunning views. The large, fully equipped kitchen includes a range, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine & tumble dryer. The cottage has wireless internet access, large private enclosed grounds and oil central heating. Pitsruan Holiday Cottage is dog and pet friendly.
Millstone House Holiday Cottage (5 bedrooms, sleeps 12) Set in its own private grounds, nestled in the hillside with superb sea loch views down the glen overlooking Loch Feochan and the surrounding hills, this stunning holiday cottage offers the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year. Ideal for house parties, celebrations or family get-togethers. The accommodation is mainly on a raised level to take advantage of the views, and sleeps 12 persons comfortably in 5 large bedrooms, 3 en-suite & a large separate bathroom with jacuzzi bath and walk in shower. The spacious lounge with gas fired natural flame stove and large panoramic window with superb views down the glen and a large rear decked barbeque verandah with views onto hills. The holiiday cottage is dog and pet friendly, has wireless internet access and electric night storage heating.
Penlarch Holiday Cottage (3 bedrooms, sleeps 6) An unrivalled haven at the head of Lerags Glen, Penlarach looks out to the south and west, with barely anything man-made in sight. South-facing picture windows and a glass conservatory give sweeping 270-degree views down the glen to Loch Feochan. At night, the burbling stream and hooting owls lull you to sleep, and during the day the peace is broken only by sheep bleating in the fields. A cosy country pub with food and folk music is a short stroll away, Oban is just 5 mins drive away. The sunny lounge has a wood burning stove, LCD TV, DVD, iPod dock and Sky Freesat plus floor to ceiling glass doors with views down the glen to the loch. The well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washer/tumble dryer. The holiday cottage is all on one level with just 2 steps down to the conservatory and therefore may be suitable for disabled or wheelchair visitors as there is also a wet room. Dog and pet friendly cottage with free WiFi. Outside there is a lawn in front of house (not fenced) with benches looking over hills and down glen.

Activities & Things to do around Oban
There are activities for all the family, ranging from an exciting boat trip courtesy of Sea.fari, a visit to Oban Distillery or any one of thirty spectacular gardens, to the Atlantis Leisure Centre with its water slides, the intriguing Oban War & Peace Museum, and the Oban Seal Sanctuary with 30 close encounter glass displays, the seal pup nursery, and touch pools.
Discovering the surrounding countryside is fun, horse riding with one of Oban's many riding schools or perhaps take in a round of golf at Oban's 18 hole golf course. Oban's Tourist Information Centre in Argyll Square is a great place to find out what's going on in the area during your stay. Take to the clear waters around Oban and Lorn for sailing, sub-aqua diving, canoeing and sea angling or cruise to the head of Loch Etive for a unique experience. |
